Vanilla Date Shake

Whether you have or own favorite combinations for the shakes you make at home or not, if you haven’t thrown dates in before, it is a must try! They have many health benefits and make a fantastic natural sweetener. The flavor they add to shakes is hard to not fall in love with!

*You can substitute the collagen peptides for another type of supplement or protein powder of your choice.

*You can use any milk of your choice, however I feel oat milk is so delicious, so if you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it!

*If you are trying to make this more filling for breakfast or need more carbs, add ½ cup of rolled oats, then just adjust milk until desired thickness.

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides, unflavored

  • 1 cup oat milk (or other milk)

  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (or extract)

  • 1 banana

  • 8-10 ice cubes

  • 3 medjool dates, pitted

Instructions:

  1. Place ice in a powerful, high speed blender. Then add the milk, banana, vanilla, dates and collagen.

  2. Put the lid on and blend on high speed until all the ice is crushed and the drink becomes creamy.

  3. Serve cold, drink immediately.
