Milk Ice Cream
After a visit California, I started exploring a bunch of new flavors which left new recipe ideas dancing through my head. One of my best friends moved out to Santa Monica, and not only did she show me a great time in her new city, she gave me an amazing tour of all types of cuisines. Many in which I had never experienced before...I was in heaven! Something I positively knew I had to recreate once I got home was milk ice cream. Ice cream is one of my most favorite treats and when I discovered this new flavor of just simply "milk" ice cream, I was certainly intrigued. There is no cream or even vanilla flavor. It is literally just the flavor of milk. I am not 100 percent certain on how that establishment made their milk cream, but I definitely knew I would be able to create some type of my own. Their signature milk ice cream treat was served with layers of honey and cornflakes. It was then topped with a honeycomb. I had never seen anything done like this before. It was also incredibly simple, but the way these flavors married together created a bowl of divine perfection!!! Here is mine, I recreated the treat and relived all the yummy sensations once more. You have to try this!!
Ingredients
2 cups whole milk
1 cup sugar
honey
honeycomb
Cornflakes
Instructions
Whisk cold whole milk and sugar together until sugar is dissolved.
Pour into your ice cream machine and let it run for 20 minutes.
Transfer to a freezer safe storage container. Place in freezer to harden a bit, for about 1 hour before it is fully ready. (You can eat right from ice cream machine, it will just be a lot softer, your choice).
Scoop into a bowl, top with honey and corn flakes.
