Burrata Salad
In a salad like this you really have so many options to add flavors and ingredients you love most. Feel free to substitute or add your desired mix-ins. Sometimes just the creamy burrata cheese, heirloom tomatoes, salt and olive oil is just enough.
Remember, balsamic glaze is not a salad dressing, it is a garnish. Below are guides of amounts, feel free to add more of anything depending on how many servings you would like. The amounts listed below are for four servings.
Ingredients:
1 bag arugula
2 balls fresh burrata
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp black truffle oil
A few fresh basil leaves, sliced
Drizzle of balsamic glaze
Salt
Pepper
6-8 slices prosciutto
1-2 heirloom tomatoes, sliced
Fresh Italian bread
Instructions:
On a large serving platter, spread out all the arugula leaves to create a bed of lettuce. Then arrange the desired amount of sliced tomatoes over the bed of arugula.
Remove the balls of burrata from its water, then place on your prepared arrangement.
Sprinkle a pinch or two of salt throughout the platter, making sure to salt the tomatoes. Drizzle olive oil, the crack fresh black pepper.
Place a few slices of prosciutto around the platter, then garnish the arrangement with fresh basil leaves. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the arrangement, then pour a little truffle oil over each ball of burrata only.
Serve with fresh Italian bread.
