Nutella Pie
In honor of National Pie Day and our grade three students finishing up our Sunshine State book PIE, I whipped up this delicious Nutella pie! It is a very fast and easy recipe that is also kid friendly if they want to try and make it :) Only one step requires help from a grown-up. Enjoy!
Ingredients
20 Oreos, crushed
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 jar Nutella
1 1/2 containers mascarpone cheese, softened at room temperature
Ferrero Rocher chocolates, broken up
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350.
Place the Oreos in a large Ziplock bag and bang the Oreos to make sure they are all crushed very well.
Put butter in a bowl, then melt in the microwave. Next add the crushed Oreos and mix until combined.
Press the Oreo crumb mixture into the pie pan. Spread and press evenly, then bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
In a mixing bowl, add the Nutella and softened mascarpone cheese. Use an electric mixer to beat for a couple minutes until smooth and fluffy.
Carefully spread over Oreo pie crust. Top with broken chocolates then cover and refrigerate for a hour or two, at least.
