Crockpot Chili

My mom always made a huge pot of chili on Halloween for us when we were young. The past few years I have made that my routine as well. I made it in the Crockpot this time and it was incredibly easy!

Ingredients

  • Ground beef

  • 28 oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies

  • 28 oz can diced tomatoes

  • Empty tomato can half filled with water

  • Choose your beans- I did 4 cans: 2 black, 1 white kidney and 1 red kidney

  • Your spice: I added- 1 scotch bonnet pepper, sometimes I use a jalapeno. Generously sprinkle with chili powder, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, ground black pepper and garlic powder.

  • Salt to taste

  • Shredded cheese (of your choice) and avocado for toppings

Instructions

  1. On a skillet, brown the ground beef until cooked and strain.

  2. Add everything to Crockpot *except the cheese and avocado.

  3. Give a stir, put on lid and cook on low for 8 hours.

  4. Serve topped with cheese and avocado.
