Instant Pot Ribs

Ribs in the Instant Pot is just fantastic! I love how the outcome is so juicy and tender. Finishing the ribs off in the oven is the important final touch they will need. This step is important because when they come out of the Instant Pot they are so nice and tender, but are missing the coloring of the charred finish. So popping them under the broiler for a few minutes will crisp the top up for you. They will then have then have a nicely browned and crisp finish. Peri-Peri sauce is such a flavorful sauce for meat and it is so delicious on ribs! If you aren’t a fan, choose your favorite type of sauce to finish your tender, mouth-watering ribs!

Ingredients:

  • 1 slab of pork baby back ribs

  • 2 tbsp Borsari seasoning salt (or another favorite meat seasoning)

  • 1 cup light beer

  • Peri-Peri sauce

Instructions:

  1. Trim any extra fat off the ribs. Pat dry and rub all over with seasoning.

  2. Pour the beer into the Instant Pot, then place the trivet into the pot. Bend ribs into a circular shape and place into the pot on the trivet.

  3. Lock lid into place, make sure the valve is on sealing then cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.

  4. Natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release the rest. Turn oven on broil.

  5. Carefully remove the ribs from the Instant Pot and place on a baking sheet.

  6. Coat with some of the Peri-Peri sauce so it is spread all over.

  7. Broil 5 minutes, make sure the rack isn’t too high and close to the burner to avoid the ribs from burning.

  8. Remove from oven and coat with some more sauce, serve hot.
